Rhodes on Top at Parilla
Sunday, 06 May 2018
Jack Rhodes and David Pullino have added another victory to their career tally, taking outright honours at the Richard Bennett Memorial Enduro this weekend. The unique handicap reverse grid format made for an interesting day at the track with Rhodes starting 1hour 55minutes after the first car had left the start line at 8:30.

Rhodes and Pullino drove through the field to finish in a total time of 2h49m52s, an impressive 14m04seconds ahead of the second placed #456 Geiser Bros Trophy Truck of Carl Haby. Haby had three navigators for the weekend; 13-year-old Matthew Gallasch, son of regular navigator Brenton, jumped in for Saturday’s two laps while Carl’s 12-year-old twin daughters Janelle and Caitlin shared the navigating duties today. A great team and family effort for the Element Off Road team and what a ride for the next generation of Element off road racers.

Matt and Gary Curtis drove their repowered #136 GCR Rhino into third place to round out the Richard Bennett Memorial Enduro podium. The GCR Rhino has undergone a power plant change from an LS1 V8 to a Nissan V6 moving from Pro to ProLite class to cater for the change.

Chris and Colin Johnson had a consistent day at the track to finish in fourth place while Mal Lynch with Jayden and Zac sharing the navigating duties drove the #676 Can-Am Maverick X3 into fifth place with the families debut off road racing drive.
