Maximum Entries for Federal 100
Friday, 02 February 2018
As the off road summer off season draws to a close one of the first events scheduled for 2018, the Federal 100, has reached their maximum entry numbers within days of opening entries.

The competitor list has been released with 45 keen offroaders ready to take to the track at the Chapman Family property at Federal in the Noosa Hinterlands of the Queensland Sunshine Coast.

“We’re excited to have hit the 45 maximum so early, but are disappointed for those that could miss out. We have a waiting list, so please get your entry in, as there is still a chance that you might get a run. Unfortunately, due to the logistics of the event, it won’t be possible to host more than 45 cars” explained Rob Chapman, event organiser.

Teams will be looking to bank maximum points at the opening round of the Mickey Thompson Tires AORRA Queensland Off Road Racing Championship. With five rounds on the calendar, and a mixture of enduro and sprint races, it’s going to be an interesting series to follow.

The event is slated to be 100km made up of 20 laps of the 5km sprint course. Teams will do two laps per heat with a total of 10 heats over the course of the weekend.

“We have had a perfect mixture of weather leading up to the event with recent rain leaving the ground covered in green grass; if anything it’s going to be slippery to start off.”

Camping and catering facilities will be available through out the weekend. Event information, including competitor list, can be found here.
