The members of the South East Queensland Off Road Racing Association would like to welcome competitors, teams, their friends and families to the St George 399 on the Queensland Labour Day long weekend, 4th to 6th May 2018.

2017 saw the introduction of off road racing to the St George community with the running of the St George 399 as the opening round of the BF Goodrich CAMS Australian Off Road Championship. 40plus teams greeted the starter for the inaugural event, and, as with any new event, there was some positive and negative issues with the course. The organising committee have taken on board and listened to the feedback and made changes to the course for the 2018 event. The track committee is in the process of finalising the route, with initial mapping showing a course length of near on to 50km.

The local St George organising team have been adding extra kilometres to the existing track and adjusted one of the straights with some high speed moguls. The pit and paddock area has also been extended and the main spectator area moved to be in front of the revamped St George Bakery - bakers dozen of jumps.

Scrutiny will be at the St Patricks School Oval at 51 Alfred Street. Teams can enter from Church St (turn at Obrien’s Toyota) with food and drinks catered by the school.

This year the event falls on the Labour Day long weekend with the St. George Council making the most of the public holiday and scheduling a Rodeo on Sunday night at the showgrounds, giving competitors and crews a chance to unwind after their weekend of off road racing with some cowboy action and great country hospitality.

“We have added a ‘St George 399’ Face Book group to keep entrants and spectators up to date. Please feel free to join and add any information in regards to the race. We welcome entrants input and any builds in progress that we will see at St George in 2018.”
