Queenslanders Tony Fehlhaber and Gary Howell have finalised their preparations and are set for an all out attack on round 1 of the 2018 ARB Australian Off Road Racing Championship.

A consistent performer at ARB events over the last several years, Fehlhaber is no stranger to a battle. Few would argue that you would find a more committed, spirited, fair and competitive duo than Fehlhaber and Howell, who consistently push their Nissan VQ35 powered Chenowth Millennium #138 to its limits.

Next week the Sunshine Coast based team will commence their journey south to Stackpoole, where they will assemble alongside 70 crews for the ARB Australian Off Road Racing Championship opener.

Fehlhaber’s breakthrough season came in 2014 when the ever popular Prolite competitor finished the year with an AORC class title and in fourth outright. Highly regarded for his aggressive driving style in dusty, harsh terrain, and a never say die attitude, Fehlhaber is not one to shy away from difficult conditions.

Boasting a top five finish at Hyden, fourth outright at Coffs AORC, third outright at Lockyer Valley, plus several other podium finishes to his name throughout his career, Fehlaber will be aiming to add another come Stackpoole weekend.

Coming off a ninth place finish at Stackpoole last year, the team are quietly confident of another strong result in the Riverina region. Subsequent to a successful tune by Chapman’s Auto and the installation of a sway bar to improve the Chenowth’s handling, Fehlhaber and Howell will hit the red dirt running on Saturday for their prologue dash, before battling the course proper on Sunday.

After a quieter than usual season for Fehlhaber in 2017, he is planning on competing at several of the ARB Australian Off Road Championship rounds whilst also supporting the inaugural season of the Mickey Thompson Tires AORRA Queensland Off Road Racing Championship in 2018.

Fehlhaber and Howell are proudly supported by Ron Milton Competition Engines, Mick Collins from Scorpion All Wheel Drive, Concrete Pumping Sales & Equipment and IBS Skip Bins. See you all at Stackpoole! 3829e_sm
