Chris and Colin Johnson #122 lead the Filmer Delivery Loveday 250 after 105km of off road racing through the Loveday 4X4 Adventure Park.

23 teams greeted the start lights for the opening round of the 2018 ARB South Australian Off Road Racing Association’s Multi Club Series, and with 140km of racing on the schedule for tomorrow, can Chris and Colin Johnson maintain their lead and bank points toward their SAORRA title defence.

David Hall and Gavin Chant #134 headed into the overnight break with a 33.06second deficit to Johnson; a blown power steering line hampering chase.

1m54.9seconds shy of Hall is Nev Day and Jim Anderson #197 clocking in three very consistent laps to round out the Filmer Delivery Loveday 250 Saturday podium.

Of the 23 starters, all but three completed the three laps today. Rod and Tina Holmes rolled the #6606 Arctic Cat Wildcat in a sharp berm corner. The crew back in the pits and repairing the UTV ready for Sunday’s racing.

Bob Pittaway, in his debut drive of the Rebnik #121, suffered a flat tyre and after changing trackside ended the day with CV dramas.

The Guidolin family Can-Am #622 had a trouble filled day. First up the Can-Am lacked power and wouldn’t produce full revs. The team believed they had fixed the issue only to be back in the pits with overheating problems.

Off roaders will return to the track at 9am Sunday morning for the first of four laps on the schedule.
