2018 AORC Champions Celebrate
Sunday, 24 February 2019
The who’s who of Australian Motorsport converged on the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre last night for the CAMS National Awards Gala Dinner presented by Burson Auto Parts.

The full house of motorsport enthusiasts recognised the country’s national champions, media, administrators and officials for their stellar 2018 seasons.

Representing off road racing for their winning 2018 campaign at the 2018 CAMS BFGoodrich Australian Off Road Championship, Shannon and Ian Rentsch accepted the silverware for their ninth Championship title. The win places them in a league of their own as Australian Off Road Racings most winningest Championship title holders. With nine titles under their belts, it places them two ahead of seven times champion Mark Burrows.

Joining the Rentsch’s for the celebrations was the ProLite champions Alan Dixon and Johnny O’Connor, SXS Turbo and second outright champions Toby Whateley and joint co-drivers Simon Hermann and Tony Whateley. Geoff Pickering and Dylan Watson accepted their awards for the Production 4WD class, adding to their mass of titles.

The 2019 season for the CAMS BFGoodrich Australian Off Road Championship opens at St George on 5-7th April and with entries now open, it’s time to kick start your points bank.
