The regulations are approved and the entries are open for the Can-Am Loveday 400. Given the unprecedented year that is 2020, Motorsport Australia recently announced the remaining two events that were scheduled to be part of the 2020 Motorsport Australian Off Road Championship would be branded as Motorsport Australia West and Motorsport Australia Central East Cups. The Can-Am Loveday 400 and the Black Diamond Kalgoorlie Desert Race will both run on the weekend of 23-25 October, each with once in a lifetime silverware on offer.

Entries for the Can-Am Loveday 400 have opened today via the offroadracing.com.au online event entry system. Given the event is still four weeks away and border restrictions are continually changing, Tony Whateley said “South Australia is now open to New South Wales, Northern Territory and Queensland, so we’re hoping to attract a good interstate field to add to our local teams. I’m hopeful that by the time race weekend comes around, Victorians will also be able to come and race; but only time will tell”.

2020 also saw the introduction of the World Series Off Road Challenge, a uniquely South Australian series put together after the cancellation the popular local SAORRA series.

The Can-Am Loveday 400 format will be 10 laps of the 40km course for the Motorsport Australia Central East Cup competitors and 8 laps for the World Series Off Road Challenge competitors.
