Robe Earthmovers David Larter Day/Night Enduro 150
Tuesday, 03 November 2020
The increasingly popular day/night off road race held at Buggy Park in South Australia’s south east is shaping up as a must do event. Nestled between the Southern ocean and Lake George the Millicent Sand Buggy Club will host the Robe Earthmovers David Larter Memorial Day/Night Enduro 150 on Saturday 14th November, with the scenic South Australian coastline as a backdrop, the Buggy Park sand hills, clay pans and winding tracks come together to produce a unique event that runs from early evening and into the night.

The club grounds situated amongst the sand hills provide families with a relaxed atmosphere and with continued improvements to amenities, infrastructure and the race track, the club is ready to welcome entrants to this year’s event.

The 2 heat format gives competitors the opportunity to navigate their way around the 15km (approx.) race track in the light of day before a service and tea break. Once the sun has set in the west and with lights beaming from the off road racers, heat 2 gets underway and the teams get to see the track in a whole new light through the darkness of the park.

Entries have already started rolling in and the competition is going to be fierce through all classes. Aus 1 and last year’s winner Aaron Haby will return to try and take back to back wins and is always at the pointy end of the field. Daryl Nissen who ran 3rd at the event last year has a lot of experience in the sand and will be hoping to upset his more fancied rivals. The trophy trucks have proved to be quick around the park and with Toby Whateley at the wheel is sure to be one to watch. Throw in a host of other capable drivers the action for the Robe Earthmovers day nighter is building to be a very exciting affair.

The Millicent Sand Buggy Club is very thankful to all who support the event and to the major sponsor Robe Earthmovers. Also to Integrity New Homes Limestone Coast, Millicent Tyre Centre and Heemskerk Security for their event sponsorship.
