Greg and Max Gartner #410 put on an impressive show throughout the weekend at the Rainbow Rises 240, enthralling the large spectator crowd gathered on the mound with their massive jumps across the finish line tabletop.

The father and son duo outlasted the quality field to finish the 27 lap short course event with a 5m38second lead over Jason Noonan and Sam Supuppo; the #23 Jimco proving consistency pays dividends.

Alan Dixon and Aaron Evans #153 rounded out the Rainbow Rises 240 in the Moneybox Racing ProLite machine.

16 of the 46 starters clocked in the full race distance. Some relished the dusty conditions while others struggled. The podium changed numerous times over the two day event – the heart wrenching demise of young Ben Gartner and Stuart Hill when a wheel parted company with the #417 Trophy Truck. Unfortunately, it was on the last lap while the young gun was holding down second place and looking for a Gartner one-two podium.

Brad Chasemore and Leigh Wells’ Rainbow Rises 240 adventure ended dramatically Saturday afternoon when the #10 Jimco rolled at the finish line after swiping the track marking shuttles when chasing in the dust.

More to come. Full event results can be found here.
