Pines Enduro - four weeks to go!
Sunday, 19 September 2021
The Millicent Sand Buggy Club’s popular Teagle Excavations ARB Pines Enduro 400 will return in 2021, continuing a proud 42-year racing history. Entries are now rolling in for the October 15-17 spectacle, with major sponsor Teagle Excavations thrilled to see the event back on track after last year’s racing was cancelled due to COVID-19.

“We are really proud to support this event, which not only offers a great weekend of racing, but creates substantial flow-on benefits for the Millicent community and beyond,” says Teagle Excavations General Manager Kurt Stephan. “The 2019 event attracted more than 80 teams who battled some testing wet weather conditions, and we’re hoping for another strong turnout in 2021.”

Kurt Stephan is one of at least five locals with the checkered flag in their sights, with the Limestone Coast’s Aaron Heemskerk, Heath Weedon, Jake England and Grant Bowden also handing in early nominations. Discounted early bird entries close on Sunday 26th September 2021, while midnight SA time on Friday 8th October 2021 marks the final deadline for sign-ups. Entry covers the driver, co-driver or navigator and three pit crew passes.

This year’s event will determine the winner of the 2021 AORRA South Australian Off Road Racing Championship, and will stick to its regular three-day format. Friday is set aside for scrutiny, and members of the public are encouraged to head to Teagle’s Quarry on Princes Highway at Millicent between 6:00pm – 8:00pm to view the free public vehicle display, with food and refreshments also available. Saturday will consist of a Prologue followed by heats of the 6-kilometre Short Course at Teagle’s Quarry, while Sunday’s endurance race will see six laps of the 60km Long Course through the pine forest tracks and unsealed district roads.

Ten classes will be contested, with trophies awarded for first, second and third outright along with the top three places in each class. A formal presentation dinner will be held at the Millicent Civic and Arts Centre on the Sunday evening.
